I have a Vodafone SIM I used. Seemed to work everywhere. If someone is going to the UK in the next 60 days, and has a quad band GSM phone, please reply here. Just an SASE and it's yours. It's unregistered. Bought originally on eBay.

How strange...my planets must be aligned.. I just read Pauline's article on cells phones/sim cards and was searching this website before asking my question and saw your offer. We leave for UK on Aug 14th, so I just may make your 60 days? I do have a GSM phone that we picked up in Nairobi that I use when I go to India (where I use Vodaphone in fact) so if your SIM card will still be valid on the 14th Aug, and is still available, I would jump at the offer. Please let me know--by the way I am in Fremont in the Bay area.

Also, what does UK need to get a SIM card and do they need process time as they did in India recently (post 9/11 security they said)--in Bombay they wanted passport copies and photos.
