After sending husband and son off on their first trip to Ireland with many reminders to dress for changable, rainy, raw weather, I just got an email from my duo telling me that its been sunny and warm all week! A co-worker got back last week from the green island and said she had mostly sunny days in the 70s for two weeks!!! What gives- I got hail, wind, raw and rain for a week last April which is what I thought it always was like!

We are leaving in less than three weeks and will spend eight days in Ireland, walking the Kerry Way.

Here's hoping that this good weather continues! What you've described would be perfect for hiking!

It would kaydee, have a wonderful time- my next trip to Ireland will focus on hiking so I look forward to your trip report. I saw lots of signs in various villages last year that pointed to trails and was quite envious althought the weather then wasn't the best. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you1

Odd, huh? Actually, not at all. We have friends who had a week of "glorious" (sunny, cool but not cold) weather in January a couple years ago. There is NO WAY to predict weather in Ireland or Scotland.

Thanks!
