Wondering if anyone has any advice on best carrier for flying from the DC, Philly, Newark, NYC area to Dublin? We can be flexible if one of those airports has better prices or connections to Dublin. We will be going in May.
Thank you.

Have you checked out Aerlingus? I entered sample dates for May from Dulles to Dublin, came up with fare of under $750 return, including taxes and from JFK is cheaper.

Leaving Dublin: May 17, 18, 19, etc. to JFK
$525 including all taxes and fees April Fool
USAir website
When you look at the Website check "Low Fare Finder" - it shows 3 departure dates and 3 return dates and you can go forward or backward 3 days to check rates easily. This is a great feature I wish Sidestep and other sites had.

Can you believe I can fly from JFK to Philly to Dublin for $160 cheaper then to fly from Philly to Dublin? I live by Philly so this makes me crazy to think I could save $160 by driving to JFK and flying back to Philly!

I can believe it. We flew to Shannon. The two routes we could have taken were:

Baltimore -> Philly -> Shannon or
Philly -> Shannon

The fare was considerably cheaper to leave from Baltimore than Philly and the Philly to Shannon flight was the same one regardless of where we started.

We live about equidistance from Philly and Balitmore so it was a no brainer as to where we would leave from. Only disadvantage was the time of the extra layover each way but we saved some bucks.

don't know in May...but I've been checking and the cheapest is Newark-Dublin on continental right now for my dates. (and I can't stand JFK, so I do prefer Newark)

Yep, it is that layover time that is bothering me it adds a lot of hours to the trip on both travel days. I have to book one of them and would also like to avoid JFK if I can.
Thanks for commiserating.
