Thank you! Just the sort of thing I was looking for! I have been thinking of moving back to England and needed to show my boys a beautiful place that could possibly compare to the beauty of our current home, Tuscany. It's even got a caravan, which is where I have been dreaming to live for so long, being a compulsive country-mover !!!
Cheers again I hope they'll have availability... has anyone been in the area and can tell me what is the best way to get there from London (meaning: is it a nice trip by train or coach, can we explore easily enough, or is it decidedly better to hire a car?)
Actually might have a look around Cornwall postings!
I have found it is better to have a car for exploring the English countryside. You might think of taking the train from the airport to Cornwall and picking up a rental car there.
Another area that I love is the southern Cotswolds, around Stroud. We have a few vacation rental listings and reviews on the site: http://www.slowtrav.com/england/
