The owner of this farm just wrote to me. Their vacation rentals and farm look great.

Goongillings Cottages

Cottages and an antique gypsy caravan on an organic farm in Cornwall. They have a second web site with more photos: http://members.aol.com/goongillings/cottages.html

Thank you! [Smile] Just the sort of thing I was looking for! I have been thinking of moving back to England and needed to show my boys a beautiful place that could possibly compare to the beauty of our current home, Tuscany. It's even got a caravan, which is where I have been dreaming to live for so long, being a compulsive country-mover [Big Grin] !!!

Cheers again I hope they'll have availability... has anyone been in the area and can tell me what is the best way to get there from London (meaning: is it a nice trip by train or coach, can we explore easily enough, or is it decidedly better to hire a car?)

Actually might have a look around Cornwall postings! [Eek!]

I have found it is better to have a car for exploring the English countryside. You might think of taking the train from the airport to Cornwall and picking up a rental car there.

Another area that I love is the southern Cotswolds, around Stroud. We have a few vacation rental listings and reviews on the site:
