We've been rather comically prolific in our starting of threads as we try to figure out where to stay for 7 nights in London in late Feb 2008. Everyone has already been so generous and helpful, and we appreciate it SO much! With luck, this will be the last thread we start about this particular trip...

We're looking at a Senior One Bedroom apartment with the tentative promise of a full kitchen (microwave, fullsize fridge, freezer, stove, oven, and washer/dryer -- the others have only a washer), at Two Hyde Park Square Apartments. Warning that their website is unbelievably ugly and cheap-looking -- however, there are generally good reviews on TripAdvisor

It's definitely more than we had wanted to spend ($290ish a night even in low season), and it's not the neighborhood we were pining after (Kensington/Gloucester Road), but the senior 1 bedroom sounds like it's pretty spacious and the beds get good reviews for size and comfort. The washer and dryer sound wonderfully convenient, and we can't do without a fully equipped kitchen because we need to cook. The senior 1 bedroom is depicted on the last two rows of pictures on this page

(Not to be confused with "luxury 1 bedroom". It's the "senior." Hey, who you callin' senior?! I'm not THAT old yet! Wink Grin )

I'd love any comments on the neighborhood, W2 2JY, or on Two Hyde Park Square Apartments, if anyone is not yet sick of commenting on our plans. Regardless, I promise a review of whatever we end up picking.

By the way, for anyone keeping score, we've heard not a single word back from A Place Like Home yet, which is pretty unimpressive -- even if Chris hadn't had a bad experience with them, that would make me feel a little cautious.

Many thanks to everyone.
