Arrived in London and am enjoying "my" flat. It 's in a Georgian townhouse and is exactly like the pictures, very light and sunny during the day. The unlimited WiFi is excellant(better than my home account) and there is enough hot water for my showers.
There is scaffolding on the Brunswick Centre so in the daytime it does get a tad noisy, but the street itself is quiet away from the touristy Russell Square. I have been able to walk to Oxford Street as well as the British Museum and British Library. The area is still a bit "tatty" in parts but even the area around Kings X has been cleaned up and I didn't feel any anxiety walking home from the station at night.
As for restaurants, there are some wonderful little mom and pop types:fish n' chips, Indian and a cool organic/free range restaurant using only seasonal foods. Plus the staff at the Waitrose have to be the friendliest I've encountered.
The flat does have a few small quirks but overall I'd recommend it for 1 or 2 persons. So for this trip, the flat was a good bargain.
