We'll be celebrating our 50th anniversary next year in Italy and Ireland. Pretty much set in Italy but need help in Ireland.

Looking for special places to stay for about a total of one week maybe split between Dublin and Galway...or ? Don't plan to drive this trip so this may limit us somewhat. Appreciate any help or thoughts.

We were just in Ireland - started in Galway and ended in Dublin. We loved Galway and stayed in a great B&B (Almara House). Bus stop just in front of the B&B took us to the main square.
Dublin was the worst weather for us - Gale force winds, rain, flooding, so we really can't help you there.
I hope to do a trip report and some reviews soon - just got back a week ago.

in Dublin. The bus stop to the city center which is about a 109 minute ride away is right in front of the house.Return ride into the city is Euro 3
Very comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms. Bernadette the owner is wonderful and the place has a very warm atmosphere. Price Euro for a couple including full breakfast.
