We'll be in London late in October for a week. I've been following some of the threads and it looks like there's plenty to do. I live in Swansea and was thinking of visiting our sister city, Swansea, Wales. Is it a doable day trip by train or rental car?

It is a 3 hour journey from London Paddington. You could leave London at 7:45 get to Swansea at 10:45 then return on the 18:29 arriving in Paddington at 21:30 in time for a late supper.

The trains are non-stop.

But better yet - take another week, if possible, and spend it in Wales. There's plenty to see and do there, and you'll be made to feel very welcome.

Thanks for the help. I'd love to stay another week, but, work, work, work! Thanks again.
