Just a note: I was confused because, not knowing who "Paula GC" was, I clicked on "Paula GC" at the top of the travel note. Surprisingly, I came up with the profile for our member Janie & Geoff. However, the Paula G. Cullison who wrote the piece is a travel writer from Arizona.
As you noted, we incorrectly linked Paula's profile in her article. She currently does not have a slowtalk member profile page. We will be fixing that shortly.
But this brings up other questions: When an ST member writes a travel note or trip report, are there links to resources contributed by other members? Because the links at the bottom of this note by nonmember Paula are to a note by Janie & Geoff (hence your error in the profile link, I guess) and notes and reviews by other ST members.
A writer may suggest an outside website or two that they find helpful, which we will link, but the additional resources and article links are done editorially in-house to articles we find are related/helpful/worthy of a read.
I've been to Bruges, where I spent about three days. Climbed the tower, etc, which was nice. But three days was two days too many. Although there are many charming buildings, I found the place a bit too, well, "twee" as a British person might say.
But, as I've said before, de gustibus non est disputandum.
I too now have Bruges on my "places I must go" list since I saw the movie "In Bruges". I am enthralled by all the medieval charm of the city. It looks just enchanting.
