I know it is kind of weird to be in several places at once, but that seems to be my life these days.

I feel like I live in 3 places at once, the one I am in , the one I am writing about from the recent past and the one I am researching for the near future.

Prague is great, but a little drizzle at the moment , dodging sun here and there. No more endless summer, but it does feel like Europe in the fall which is more our normal travel time.

We loved autumn in the alps too and had a spectacular birthday celebration in Salzburg...thanks all! More to come on that.

I just uploaded the latest from our days in Croatia including Mozart's film debut and running into a famous Japanese actress and crew.

You just never know where the open road will lead you. Wink

Happy travels all!

WT, I enjoyed your latest entry about meeting the famous Japanese actress and Mozart having her first film debut. The photos you took as they filmed her were very cool. And the actress and film crew seem to be pretty happy to have met your family.

Hope you enjoy Prague and maybe get a chance to visit the other smaller towns in the Czech Republic. It's a beautiful city and the people are wonderful. I'd like to one day return there myself.

P.s. Happy Belated B-Day to Mozart!

Wow, I have been having a bit of a different kind of adventure of late, so it was really sweet to come here and find these sweet notes as it is always so nice to know people are enjoying ones efforts.

We have still not figured out how to make our blog more interactive and get the comments working, so that makes it a challenge on knowing who is enjoying what. Hopefully we will get that working back in Spain this time.

We had a WONDERFUL time in Prague\Praha and it is a very beautiful city. It was not crowded during the week ( lots of tours on Sunday though), so fall turned out to be a good time to enjoy it.

We saw a fabulous puppet version of Don Giavanni that I wish they had in every town. That 19th century style boat ride called Prague Venice was much better than expected. We got quite a crowd by accident on Charles Bridge when we took the violin video of Mozart and just loved a magnificent wine glass bach player and walking on it at night.

We could easily have stayed a month and we did get to see a little of the country side and that wonderful small village with a castle near Budajoice. We heard voices in every language, but seemed to be mostly French, Italian and Slavic.

We camped in a nearby northern suburb and took the bus in ( 10 km). It is at someones nice house, so different and they have a few small zimmers too. Sweet people.

We are in Vienna now and our first day here was quite an adventure and Mozart got to ride in 2 ambulances and see 2 hospitals. I am still recovering because I lost a lot of blood, but I am fine now.

It was only a nose bleed which is something I never experienced until now. It was a spurting artery so had to be cauterized in a hospital...yowser,not fun. I pretty much GUSHED blood on and off all day until he stopped it. Not a day I care to repeat.

This is our second adventure in Austria and we have decided that if one needs to have this kind or a vehicle emergency....Austria is a GREAT place to do it in.

Wouldn't you know it...we met wonderful people in the ambulance and hospital and even got some gifts!! Also much, much cheaper than if it happened at home.

I will have more about all of this and CR on the blog as I have time. I am actually getting a little time to catch up as I heal.

That film crew WAS great and we were thrilled to hear from people in Japan who read our blog steadily. One family asked to show us around when we get to Japan and use it as a tool educating their kids. They said that Mozart was in the opening shots! Ha ha. What a small world it is today.

Thanks for the belated birthday to Mozart. The ambulance drivers even got her a doughnut because she mentioned that she celebrated in Saltzburg!

Life is good! Carpe diem!

WT, glad you are ok, that must have been scary as hell.

I think you mentioned you had decided to not winter in Spain this year? Can I ask where you might base yourself this winter or will you just keep traveling?

All the best... Joanna's Dancing Man

Thanks all. Yes it was scary, especially because I was all alone when it was at its worse.

I will write a separate warning but DO take bloody noses seriously if your are over 50. They are not serious in children but can actually be fatal in the over 50 crowd.

I took 4 advil ( ibropropin) over the week that we were in Prague, very carefully on a full stomach with days between each dose. It helps me walk a little longer with my bad knee. THAT made me a bleeder like I was on cumadin.

I am still a little weak, but getting stronger every day.

We are definitely headed to Spain and our wonderful little village for the winter. We love it there and it is a perfect place for us to winter.

We are just running a little late as we still want to see some things in Italy first. We have a little more freedom this year on date of arrival tho because we did not book our apt in advance as now we know there are plenty to choose from in the winter.

We will probably have to cut our Budapest,Slovakia and Romania plans as I am feeling less confident with this nose these days and time is running out.

We are in a perfect spot near a great park and fantastic indoor pool with waves and everything, so a good place to rest as a family til we are ready to move again.

We are looking forward to our rest in Spain and all of our friends in our village. It is a ideal home away from home. It is good to get a break from the travel and have full internet again.

Although I am not looking forward to the transition phase...unpacking and sorting thru everything and establishing a life. Too much work...but the rewards are worth it. Knowing the drill and lay of the land this year will make it easier.
