I was going to prebook our transportation from Marmaris to Dalyan, but wonder if this is something that we should just arrange when we arrive.

Are there a lot of taxis or shuttle drivers at the terminal? We are planning to take the early ferry, which is at 8AM, but may decide to take the afternoon one at 4:30 instead so didn't want to really have to commit to setting a pickup time if we didn't have to.

Dalyan is on the bus route, but not sure how convenient that would be with our bags or just how much time it would take.....car is about an hour.

I take it you are not staying in Marmaris at all?
I do believe that the Marmaris bus station is out of the centre of town, but don't know how far.
Are you staying in Dalyan?

Yes, we're heading straight for Dalyan for a couple of nights.
