Here are one person's thoughts about the best times to visit Croatia. I guess it depends on what you like and what you are looking for.

Hello!

We were in Croatia May 1st-16th of this year.

The pros:
~the weather was fabulous..you could actually wear shorts.

~Lack of crowds, a total authentic experience

~prices were MUCH lower for hotels, private guide to Montenegro and Mostar

~the locals are not burnt out on tourists

Cons:

~ferry schedule limited it does take much more planning

~not all hotels/sobes will be open yet..
