Question about the park and ride lots in Prague, I read that there is a overnight fee of 100ck. Is this accurate? How safe are these lots if I leave my rental overnight?

http://www.managenergy.net/products/R1361.htm

My plan is to leave the car there for 3 days and come into the city center by public transport and then head back to pick up my car when I'm leaving Prague.

If you don't get a reply here soon, you might do a search via "Find" for "Mary L.", who is Mary Luce and is now living in Prague. You could send her an e-mail. I'm sure she'd be able to answer your questions.

Sorry, I can't answer your question. We don't own a car here and we live in the city so I have no idea about the park and ride lots fees or safety. Sorry I can't be of help with that question.

Are you renting from one of the international hire companies? if so, I would ask them that question. You might be able to leave your car in their parking area at the airport for example. On the whole, I would not say that it was a very good idea to leave a car in any parking lot for 3 days. Czech Republic is nowhere near as bad for car thefts as some people make out - we go over the border at least once a month on average and have never had any problems - but you would need somewhere very secure to leave a car unattended for that length of time and expect it to be there when you come back. Which direction are you heading into and out of Prague? Does the place you are staying in Prague have parking?

Hi Margaret, I am driving up from Bratislava on the E65 I believe. The suggestion of using an Avis parking lot is clever, I may have to look into that, thanks! I'm staying at Hotel Pav and they said I can park at their sister hotel Elite but they didn't mention the cost or how safe it is.

Some have also suggested the Vaclavska (sp??) garage which was EUR 18/day, expensive but I'd rather not have my rental stolen or broken into and ruin my trip!!

After some queries I have been given the advice to not use park and ride lots for long term parking.
