I am currently planning a honeymoon for mid-October '06. Our first choice is Greece (2 nights Athens and 7 nights on 2 of the islands). I am a little concerned that the weather in mid-October will be too cold to enjoy the islands. We don't plan to sit on the beach all day, but it would be nice to swim and enjoy warm weather.

Is this possible?

Would we be better off looking into Italy? Or could that also be too cold?

Any input would be much appreciated.
