Can anyone recommend a hotel with great food, an indoor lap pool and easy access to country walking trails in a spa town that features thermal baths? I want to soak in the water, not drink it. Am looking for a place for an R&R vacation the first 2 weeks of November. I know the weather will probably be rainy and chilly, but those are the dates I have to work with.
Thank you, Pauline. Yes, Budapest is supposed to have a great spa. I just learned that myself. But I am seeking a rural or semi-rural setting for easy access to country walking trails. I've heard there are simple/primitive spas in the countryside outside of Budapest, but I have no names.
