Yesterday I discovered (by chanche) that my very favourite place in Madrid is about to be completely restored and will become a huge space for creation. There will be libraries, spaces for art, design, architecture, theatre, cinema, dance and much more. There will be bars and restaurants and a huge space for live music.
This place is the old Madrid Slaughterhouse, built between 1910 and 1925 and abandoned during the 60'.
The project looks absolutely fab and in 2011 Madrid will have another space for art other than the Paseo del Arte (Tyssen, Reina Sofia and Prado museums) and much more lively than this!
You can see more in the Matadero Madrid website.
