There is an article on theGraubünden area of Switzerland. They visit the city of Chur, next travel to the Engadine Valley and finally to Val Poschiavo. They all look interesting.

Thanks! I will have a look. That part of Switzerland is very interesting. We spent a week in Davos in 1996 - because it was the setting for Thomas Mann's "The Magic Mountain" - yes, that is how I make my travel decisions. We spent a week once in Crans-Montana because it was mentioned in a Paul Erdman book.

From Davos we took at train into the Engadine valley. We had a wonderful lunch in Zuoz - a beautiful town full of buildings with words carved into them and big arched doors that used to be used for wagons entering the building. The Engadine is a wide valley with a main highway running down it. St. Moritz is at the southern end. They speak the Romansch language there - very different from the other Swiss dialects.
