I meant my note as a reply in your Tea Rooms topic. Looks like I clicked in the wrong spot. I trust you understood that, but thought I might explain my strange note to others.
We quickly got into the habit of having 4:00 tea while in England, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I wonder if I might have walked off a few pounds but for that?
Pauline, when you compile your list for the UK, don't forget to include the Willow Tea Rooms in Glasgow. I can't remember whether the tea was anything to write home about or not but the place was designed by Rennie Mackintosh and everthing is still intact and functioning as a tea room, so it's worth it for the architecture.

If you get to Glasgow I know a fantastic place to stay, just out of town. I was going to make it the next one of my "reports" so you'll get it when I find time to do that. It's called Greenlees Hill. Of the 20 places we stayed in Europe, I think this hostess worked harder at creating the perfect self-catering cottage than any other.
