We are traveling to Munich in June, and just reserved at the Platzl Hotel in the Altstadt. I have never stayed here before, but have read so many positive reviews about the hotel. I know that you can get a single room starting at 99 euros, and breakfast is included. The location is supposed to be great.

The Acanthus Hotel is wonderful and is reviewed on this site. I'm not sure about current prices. It is very central, easy walking distance from Marionplatz. Comfortable and lovely rooms, great breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Mirabell last year. It was clean, comfortable and an easy walking distance from Marionplatz. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the 2 room suite which gave us plenty of room with our two children. There wasn't enough space that I would want to spend my day in the room but it was fine for morning play and end of the day play for our children.
