Has anyone been to Sagalassos in Turkey (where they recently uncovered a statue of roman emperor Marcus Augustus)?

I'd like any info on the city(?)- how to get there, lodgings - you can give me. It's not for me (yet!), it's for a friend that'll be in Turkey this fall (no fixed dates yet).

Thank you

Hm, just trying to help... Sagalassos is about 7 km. from Aglasun in the province of Burdur.

My advise is to do some searches on Aglasun and on the Province of Burdun.

Also, there is the possibility of contacting Turkey Tourism and Turizm Turkey. Probably the best options at this time.

Thank you, Shannon for the bumping up Smile

Doru, you're a wealth of information, thank you so much. I've downloaded quite a few brochures that I'll pass on to my friend. Thumbs Up
