We live in Denmark and have been to Copenhagen many times over the years. This December we revisited on a long weekend and had a delightful time. This time I thought I'd share the experience, so I have uploaded a trip report with photos at www.sitestory.dk/rejser/copenhagen2007/index.htm. I have also written a facts-page about Copenhagen with some travel tips. Don't expect a complete guide - it is just some personal preferences and advice.

Some say that Denmark is terribly expensive. That can be true, and we even have a joke that goes like this:

"Are you going on holiday?"
"Yes"
"Well, where are you going?"
"Nowhere"
"Oh! Can you afford that?"

However even in Copenhagen there are reasonably priced hotels, and if you get away from the tourist mainstream, there are also good restaurants, where you can have a cheap meal.

So right you are. That is why we are the most travelling people on earth. We simply can't afford to stay at home. Otherwise thank you for your trip report. It is truly written by someone who is most familiar with the city. Just one thing. The Indian (SouthAmerican) orchestra has been here for decades. Same spot, every day. They have never gone beyond four melodies. And many years ago, they were even allowed to go electric with LARGE loudspeakers. There is much writing about them in local papers, and the guy who has the hot-dog stand next by is about to become an axe-murderer. And we all hope, the local politicians in the municipality can hear them.
