Yikes - you might only be able to get a bed in a hostel for that price.
I'm a budget traveller and am pretty good at finding good budget hotels, but in Amsterdam ... well, the best I've done is in the 79-80 euro range. But I'm also not willing to go "too budget"!
Good luck!

I'm not sure the situation is that dismal, except for the tulip season issue. My daughter and I had a 65-Euro rate including breakfast at a Best Western in Amsterdam last August (we were booked at the Lancaster, which would have been fine, but we were bumped to the much more convenient Eden on the Amstel). I got this deal through Bookings.nl (mentioned above). Our hotel was a perfectly adequate full-service 3* hotel with a good breakfast.

Hotel Brouwer www.hotelbrouwer.nl55 euro/night single, and consider yourself lucky if they have availability. I concur with the others if you are hoping for double occupancy at that rate!
