Tracy and her family spent a week in London and a week in Paris (they just got back). They were in apartments in both places. Here is her trip report:

Tracy - we sort of booked Michael Osman for a tour but he does not seem to be getting back to me - how was he/did you enjoy him, etc. I e-mailed him initially but he is just not e-mailing me back and I am unsure as to how reliable he is. [Roll Eyes]

Tracy - many thanks for your great report - sounds like a wonderful, action-packed trip! I'm wondering what rental agency you used in London and any feedback you may be able to supply about them.

And the owner of the agency wrote to me as follows:
Dear Pauline,

Tracy and her family stayed in one of our London apartments. She has just posted a review on your site.

She also suggested that I e-mail you details of our service so you can include us on your page about London in your excellent site.

Coach House London Vacation Rentals ( www.rentals.chslondon.com ) offer vacation rentals in Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Kensington and Chelsea, Notting Hill, and other parts of central London, using the apartments and houses of London residents when they are temporarily away from the city. We have properties to suit most budgets.

The main features of our service are:

All our London rentals are hand picked, and are places where we would be happy to stay ourselves! Most are no more than 10 minutes from a tube station, often less.

Unique in London our minimum length of stay is 5 nights all other agencies have a 7 night minimum

A car to meet you at the airport and take you to your London rental can be arranged on request (by far the easiest way to get into town with lots of bags).

Each rental comes with its own mini guide to the area covering the neighbourhood shops, local transport, pubs, restaurants and cafés

We provide a starter pack of breakfast provisions to cover the first day or two of your stay. We will even include any special requests - subject to price and availability

All our London apartments and houses are ready for immediate occupation with beds made up and towels put out, weekly laundry is included in the price, cleaning and servicing can be arranged on request

A telephone help line is available to provide you with answers to questions about London, what to do and see. A 24/7 number is also provided in the unlikely event of emergencies.

Please go to www.rentals.chslondon.com for full details. You might also like to explore the “Useful London Links” and “What to see and do” pages which have many helpful suggestions for anyone planning a trip to London.

I hope this is of some use.

With best wishes
Harley Nott

Thanks, Pauline for posting Tracy's report on her rental. I've already taken a look at the Coach House web site and am very excited about their listings. I'm planning a 7 - 10 day trip to London this coming November to visit our son who will be studying there during his Fall college term. I'm looking for a flat that will be large enough for him to stay with us if he chooses and with a kitchen where I can make a couple of his favorite meals. I'll be sure to let you know how we make out.
Thanks again!
