Just booked a few nights at a hotel in crete over the phone and the owner took my name and number of nights (commentary: "no problem for three nights, but you'll end up staying longer just like everyone else"). I asked if he wanted a CC number or fax or anything ? His comment, "No problem, don't worry about it, we trust everyone here. If you say you are coming, you are coming." I asked if they serve breakfast. His comment, "No, but don't worry, we will have plenty of drinks together" !?!?

It's really encouraging to know there are still places like this left in the world !
