I look forward to reading your adventures in more detail.
20+ years ago we hired a motorhome for 2 months and toured extensively through Europe (even into Yugoslavia) during Jan & Feb ... brrr! A couple of places were so cold, we stayed in hotels, but most of the time we stayed in the motorhome 0 it was great to have a base & not to have to pack/unpack all the time!

Excellent Blog! Tom & Judy, I just found your post and saved your Papillon in Europe blog to my favorites. The reading so far has been so interesting. The sunset photos you took are amazing.
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences and I'll keep checking for updates!

Today, Saturday, is a day off for chores in Kusadasi. Last nights camping was the pits but found Onder Camping downtown on the beach with WASHER AND DRYER, plus FREE wifi. (on line now) (Turkish keyboards have 2 "I" keys and you must learn the difference when in an internet cafe.
Next blog is under construction but will feature a typical day, visit to some spectacular ruins and SWIMMING WITH THE GODS.
100 plus degrees heat last day or three. May take 2 days off and sit by the pool. Cost here is 16 Lira a day (11 bucks) and washing machine is 5 lira a load. Parked under a big tree but it is still hot. Not as much sea breeze as expected.

We are in the same neck of the woods!! We just were in beautiful Chania in Crete and now in Rhodes heading for several weeks in Turkey next. We will be on a gulag sailboat tho for the first four days.
We are loving the Greek Islands and looking forward to Turkey.
We have stayed an extra day in Fethiye as we are really enjoying it ( and the wifi and aircon ) and pleasantly surprised by Turkey and the lovely people here.
We have found our perfect gulet so will be off exploring by sailboat for the next four days on our way to Olympos. Then we head to Cappadocia and some time in a luxury cave house with the fairy chimneys.
Are you going in that direction? Later we will go to Istanbul and make our way to Ephesus before heading back to our RV via Samos to get to Santorini where it waits.
( We rerouted our whole trip because we loved Santorini and stayed a month ...loved your pics there!...but are enjoying how it is working out, even tho we are lingering everywhere longer than intended.)
If we do not see you here, perhaps we will get another chance on the mainland in Greece before we head to Croatia. I enjoy your blog when I get a chance to read it!!
Ah, we really enjoyed Kas too and we docked in the harbor one evening and as I walked around I wondered if we might run into you.
The yacht was a great way to see the Turquoise Coast and to not feel the heat at all for four days. We have been lucky to miss it thru the boat or places with pools and air conditioning, so have not been bothered by it at all ( except one day in Rhodes which taught us our lesson).
It was actually quite cool the day we arrived in Cappadocia which was a big surprise. We are really loving it here and may add a few extra days as this hotel is exquisite as is the area.
There are lots of signs for camping and we have seen quite a few RV's driving around here. I wouldn't miss one night in a cave tho, as it is quite special and very cool!
It is July 5th, so contact us here if you will be in the area in the next few days. Sounds like you are enjoying Turkey as much as we are!
