I came across this excellent site detailing walking itineraries for 1,2 and 3 days in Prague with a wealth of information. Thought I'd share it for those thinking of planning a trip there!

Yes, I found that one while searching the Web last year. There really are some excellent Internet sites for Prague, with very helpful information - probably better than for any other location I've researched. Here's one and another.

Hi,

You are right Prague has a lot interesting sites. I found another really useful site for Prague about sightseeing, museums, galleries (opening times, maps, how to get there etc)

Public transport is sometimes confusing so it is good have a look on journey planner. It will safe your time.

Excellent links. I spent 5 days in Prague in 2006 and had a blast. The 3-day itineraries are so doable because I think Prague is a pretty compact walkable city.

I'm going to bookmark these links too as I really want to return to Prague soon, maybe when I try to see Budapest. IMHO (next to Venice), I think that Prague is so far in my short travel experience one of the most beautiful cities that I have visited.

We were in Prague in 2005 and then continued wandering to Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary...
ending up in Venice.

I implore you to build in enough time to take a quick 1 night trip to Cesky Krumlov.
It is beyond magical, the storybook setting you've dreamed about!
Star Star Star Star Star

There's a few photos on our website if you are interested!

Also, in the journal under something to quench your thirst
I give a restaurant recommendation for Cesky Krumlov..and a link in there to the restaurant.

The walking tours are totally doable..

and if you love garnets this is the place to buy them...(regretfully I thought they would be available later in our journey Frown)

I couldn't agree more with where2next! I also visited Cesky Krumlov for 3 nights after my stay in Prague (on my way to Salzburg) and it was very storybook beautiful and relaxing. I went by public transportation which was a long train ride that involved switching trains at one point, so an overnight day trip is better.

I will never forget my wonderful experieces in both Prague and Cesky Krumlov and it makes me really want to explore the Czech Republic more and also maybe a neighboring country on my next trip there. The people are wonderful and the history is so interesting.

Ps. Where2Next, I wanted to check out your journal, but your link doesn't seem to be working?

Your signature URL included "www" - I just removed it. It might take a couple of hours to update all of your posts.

Thank you so much!

It started off for family and friends and then just grew to over 10,000 hits in 4 months!!! Eek Smile

It's designed to be like a hand written journal that I wrote down stuff to remember for future travels/memories of past travels.

and then shared it with you.. so you might already know the info, or it's a reminder to you, or hopefully a few new ideas to take with you on your next trip!!!! Smile

Thanks again for the feedback! I really appreciate it!!! Smile Smile
