My wife and I will be flying into Geneva in late September and then driving into northern Italy.
I'm not at all familiar with Switzerland. Does anybody have a recommendation for lodging (perhaps with restaurant) for one night somewhere in or close to Geneva or perhaps between Geneva and the Mont Blanc tunnel? Even though it's only for one night I would prefer some place with a little character and not just a hotel room and also something not terribly expensive.
One the return I'm looking for a hotel in Geneva that's close to the airport (here I'm looking for convenience). Any suggestions?
