I am going to be traveling in Europe this summer. I will reach Frankfurt the first week in June 26. We are going to be driving in the Black Forest/Rheinpfalz area and down very slightly into Alsace. I need short sleeve blouses for very warm weather elsewhere. I am wondering whether that will also do for Germany. Or do I need to bring something a little warmer?

Bring something warmer.

Weather in Germany in summer is notoriously unpredictable. In 1997, I saw someone in a winter coat in July. So throw in a few layers and a jeans jacket, and a couple of pair of socks. Worst that can happen is you won't need any of it. But if you do, you will be very happy you have a few things with you.

I wholly agree, you do not play with weather. I was at 50 F in the Jura in august back in 2001. and I have been in Frankfurt in 2003, very hot in June.

You always need a back up especially if spending several days in an area.weather do change often in Europe.
