A reminder that Vuelta España 2002 has just started, the last of the three crown jewels of cycling (the others being the Giro d' Italia and the Tour de France, of course); and that it's an excellent way of seeing the country up close and real -- not just Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona and Marbella -- if you get the race on cable where you are.

I live in Madrid and see the last leg live just about every year. Got some good photos and video clips of last yrs. Vuelta when it reached Madrid in case anyone wants to see them.
