We are going to Amsterdam for a week 28th April - 05th May. Does anyone know where the best applecake in town is? And also, we have heard that most indonesian restaurants are really owned by chinese. So if any of you have an address of a typical authentical indonesian (inexpensive) restaurant, we would be most happy.

For Indonesian food, I've eaten at Tempo Doeloe (expensive, very spicy hot and excellent) and Kantjil &
De Tijger
(good, well priced but not necessarily authentic). I've also used Dinnersite, a Dutch restaurant review site for planning.
