You can bet I'll be watching AND taping this show tomorrow night.
I just hope he: #1 Doesn't film the whole thing in Bucharest. #2 Gets out into the countryside. #3 Doesn't get hokey with the whole Dracula thing.
I would love to see him out in the Carpathian Mountains north of Brasov since that is where I think we will be focusing our time.

You can bet it'll have its share of debauchery, from what I saw on the commercials. Especially since he's meeting up with his old friend Zamir (see shows from Uzbekistan and Russia)...anything goes!

I picked up a few hints, reinforcements, and oh ohs.
1- From the looks of the city of Bucharest itself, (or at least what he bothered to show us) I am feeling justified in giving the city only the last couple of days at the end of our trip. 2- From the ridiculous event at "Dracula's Castle" I also feel justified in my plan to focus on the Maramures & northern Moldavia regions rather than on Transylvania. Of course, it WAS Anthony Bourdain! You can't expect anything he shows you to be truly representative of the mainstream, can you?

I had about 1.5 days in Bucharest, and I certainly could have used more. OK, it's not Rome, but there is much to see and an awful (in all senses of the word, I guess) lot of history. I enjoyed dining in Bucharest, too.
