Hello. My family and I (husband and 3 young kids) will be in Vienna for 4 days in June after visiting family in Hungary. We'd like to rent an apartment in a well-located spot so we can easily walk to some places and take public transport. A park where we can run around and picnic nearby would be ideal.

I have checked out several threads regarding apartment rentals in Vienna. Apartments Vienna is booked on the dates we want to be there.

Any thoughts on where we should stay and rental agents to use would be hugely appreciated.

We rented an apartment in Vienna a couple of years ago and had great difficulty finding anything acceptable - most were tiny and very expensive. We stayed at www.vienna-residence.com. The apartment is spacious and the building is beautiful. The price was reasonable. The accommodation is not as comfortable as I would have liked but the location is excellent - just behind the main shopping street and within walking distance of the centre. You deal direct with the owner which we found an advantage.

We had a most beautiful apartment in Vienna in July 2006.

I booked it through VRBO and the apartment was called Mozart.
