Hi everyone -

My husband and I are leaving for Venice and Barcelona this Saturday, and will be connecting through Frankfurt. :-P

We have a three hour layover at Frankfurt (learned our lesson last year than an hour is NOT enough to make a connection!) and I would love to be able to sit down and surf the Internet for a little while. We will not be bringing a laptop, as - thanks to my spouse - we are already burdened with about 8 pounds of various other electronics.

Anyway, I've searched the Frankfurt Airport website and the forums here and it seems there is internet access there, but does anyone know if there are computers available for rent?

Thanks!

We often connect through Frankfurt, and have used the stand-up computers for which you pay with credit card, which are placed in the terminals - I can't tell you exactly where, they're in a few places, but if you ask at the information desk they can direct you to the nearest ones.
Not too comfortable for alot of surfing, but convenient.

Ah, that's great to know. Standing up will actually be fine - very welcome after a loooooong flight from San Francisco!

Thank you!

In May I used one of the standup computers at Frankfurt airport to send emails while waiting for our flight. It was easy to use, but beware - very expensive! €12 per hour. I just kept feeding it euro coins ...

I know what you mean about being ready to standup - and you have further to sit than I do, on the east coast. When we arrive in Europe we're always eager to walk as much as possible - keeps us awake too!
Have a great trip-

Excellent - I really want to just check on some emails, read the headlines, maybe make a fly-by post at my blog so one hour will be more than enough.

Thanks all and I'll be sure to post right before I leave. I'll be documenting our adventure here:

Thanks again!
