We decided on a last-minute 3-week trip to Sweden over Christmas and NYE. Neither my children (ages 2 and 6) nor my husbanc have met any of my marvelous Swedish cousins, so it had to be done. (that's me dancing with joy)
We will be in southern Sweden (I'm not adventurous enough to head to Lappland in winter with 2 wee ones, I guess) and Denmark, spending time in Goteborg, Stockholm, Copenhagen and small towns in SE Sweden.
Anyone want to chime in with a "don't miss this!" that I might miss otherwise?
This has nothing to do with what you will be seeing, but your mention of Goteborg reminded me, so I thought I'd just mention it. Should you be in the market for a car soon, Volvo has a deal for you! They will fly you to Goteborg, put you up there for several days, ship your car home after you have driven it for as long as you wish (all expenses but gas paid) and the price of the whole package, including all US import fees, is less than the cost of the same car if you buy it new here. Go to http://www.volvocars.us/FinancialServices/Incentives/ and then click on "overseas delivery" to learn more.
I'm in no way associated with Volvo. I just think this sounds like a great idea. The perks aren't quite as generous as they were a year ago, because of the weak dollar I suppose, but it's still a neat idea, don't you think?
