I will be landing in Zurich this summer and will immediately drive to Italy for 2 months. I read on a forum that all cars must have a green sticker to drive on Swiss autobahns. Since I am leasing a Peugeot that will be delivered to Zurich from France, it will probably not have the sticker (not a rental car). I suppose we can stay off highways but it will make for a long trip to Italy.
Questions: Is every highway in Switzerland classified as an "autobahn"?
Where can I buy this sticker?
Any thought or help are appreciated!

Welcome to Slow Travel, giro!

Click here for authoritative information on the sticker, aka vignette. Basically, you buy the sticker at your point of entry in Switzerland, but in your case the website details also many inland options.

The entire web site is quite interesting. Probably best if you start from here. Note how not to place the sticker!!!
