There will definitely be two Slow Travel members, Cindy and Carol (CShock and Cazzie, respectively), who will be available for a get together during this time period. There will be three of us, actually, but I'll have to extend an invitation to Giacomo to find out if he will be available due to his many work commitments. We have only a few more weeks to set a date, time, and meeting place. If there will be anyone else in the Siena/Val d'Orcia area during this time, we'd love to meet you!

Thanks Cindy for setting up the post. We will be staying in the il Poggiolo apartments. We leave Australia today week and head for Venice, then Lake Como, CT and Florence before staying a week in Montepulciano. Caz.
It is a shame that we will just miss you. Gail Hecko (and John), Palma and Brad, Sandi (bugalu) and I will all be in Montisi on the 24th - most of us staying for 1 week, Gail and John staying for longer (lucky them!)

You'll be right on the other side of town, Carol, so that will make it easier to find a convenient time for us to meet. Post back here when you feel settled enough in Italy, then we'll set up a date. I'll be coming into Firenze on May 14, and then, straight out to Montepulciano on Saturday morning.
Jerry, I'm so sorry that we will miss you all. It would have been great to finally meet after all this time on the board. Next time, I suppose. We'll make sure to propose a toast to all those Slow Travelers who are out there on the road and at home, too!
