I'll be in Philly for a conference a few days the week before Memorial Day so if it happens then (and I can squeeze in time around seminars) I would LOVE to attend!

ANN !!! How wonderful that you'll be in town. What days will you be here? I know some great places we could all eat at - at all price ranges too. Lunch? Dinner? I'll be a little restricted by my work schedule, but definitely do-able. I'm getting psyched already!
Let's see what day and time you guys figure out, and if it turns out to be a weekday afternoon, I can probably do it. (A few years ago, I used to drive to Philly every week for a class at the University Museum). But don't plan around me, I'll hook on if it works out.
Ditto what Marian said - don't plan around me but I do hope it works out. My schedule is pretty tight and I think I have only one night possible for dinner and lunch time is limited (unless I skip one of the seminars ). I wish I had added an extra day either before or after - darn!
The conference is at the PA Convention Center and I fly in on May 20 and leave the 23rd. Thursday is the only night available for dinner and possibly lunch on Wednesday or before I leave on Friday.

Oh ... I am so glad that there are so many interested in doing this.
I have never been to a slow travel GTG ... and am really hoping this comes together, as I would love to meet in person those I have come to know via the message board.
I am open to most anything, but my guess would be that a dinner would be better for most ... what do you all think?
My schedule is pretty flexible ... and I am up for most any location.

Do Ann's dates (May 20-23) sound like a good ballpark target for everyone else? Speaking for myself, I am working on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20 and 21, but am available either evening; and I am OFF all day Thursday and Friday, so I'm totally open those two days.
I'm definately interested. I get back from Italy via Philly on the 20th but can probably come back in for the Thursday night dinner. Some of this group had been talking about the Amish country bike ride GTG for that Saturday but I haven't heard recently from those who needed bikes and I wasn't having much luck finding viable rentals so maybe we can talk some more about it at dinner and Kim,if you are staying in the area for the Mem. weekend we could maybe still plan a ride.Looking forward to dinner with all.

Ann, this is great. If you like, I can start recommending some selections for all of us. Karen (karenb1) what part of Jersey are you from? I grew up til I was 11 outside of Haddonfield.
Karen(karinka) - I am so glad you can make it too! (maybe your sister kathy would like to join us?)
I had been so preoccupied with the Gathering that I totally neglected our bike trip. I would be one of those needing a bike to rent, but let's talk more about it on Thursday evening! Looking forward to seeing you again, and meeting some new friends.
