Ok, the first photos of the Provence GTG have been posted
here. So far, these are all my photos, and I bear responsibility for strange framings or hazy focus. I am particularly conscious of my photographic failings because our host in Cheval Blanc, David (charles w), is a professional photographer. OK, David, I'll go back to photographers school...
Many others took photos at the event and I would ask them all to post their selections or, if they can't for whatever reason, to email them to me (my email address in my profile), or send me a message.
I am a bit selfish in sending this appeal: I made it only in a couple of pictures taking by others with my camera, in Bonnieux. But I have nothing from the GTG in Cheval Blanc.
I also took the liberty of enlarging the scope of the gallery by adding photos from a day prior to the GTG, when six of us spent the day in the company of Kathy (kaydee) and Charlie, as part of their Luberon Experience tours, and had with them entertaining and instructive tours of Bonnieux and Lacoste, capped with lunch in the Bonnieux home of the Gillespie-Smith.
Thanks to Kathy, who initiated and coordinated these events.
Warm thanks to Marianne and David Wilkinson in Cheval Blanc, who opened their home and provided us generously with all the ingredients of a very successful get-together, crowned by a memorable dinner under Marianne's watchful eye.
And thanks to Cynthia and Ian Gillespie-Smith for taking into their beautiful home in Bonnieux a bunch of sweaty climbers and making us feel at home, as well for being chief conspirators in setting Kathy up on her birthday surprise.
Josette thanks to all hosts for taking into account her special lactose-free needs.
And I personally wish to tell our fellow travellers how happy I am that we could all meet and have a good time together, taking with us lasting memories and new friendships. I hope to see you all again. Any excuse will do! And you all look mahvelous!
To those who may post to this gallery: you will note I named the photo files in the following format:
For the GTG: "Cheval Blanc nn"
For the Bonnieux-Lacoste day: "Luberon nn".
Enjoy!
Yours,
Doru
