OK.

We got our tickets and here is our itinerary.

I am SO up for a GTG but not sure where it could work.

July 19,20 21, 22, 23--not travel days--we'll be in a vacation rental in Tahoe City--west shore.

July 25,27,28, available in San Luis Obispo.
Paso? Cambria?

We would drive an hour or so in any direction any of the above days.

Hope to see you!

May I suggest July 25 (which is a Saturday), perhaps in Paso, for some winetasting and dinner? Or anywhere else in the area? Santa Barbara?

Hi jan!

My summer plans are still up in the air, but I'll make a note of the July 25th weekend, and keep an eye on this thread. Hope to see you!

Jan, we would meet you just about anywhere except we will be in Italy (sad though it is) those dates. I'm disappointed but not enough to stay home. Big Grin

Ooh...Santa Barbara GTG on July 25th for winetasting and picnic lunch/dinner! That sounds great!

We could actually meet in Santa Ynez Valley, which is probably about an hour from San Luis Obispo. That's great wine country.

What do y'all think?

I am getting a bit "iffy" about the Saturday GTG because, my husband reminded me, it will be the only day off of work for our friends we are visiting. The wintasting/picnic sounds perfect, though.

Let's wait a month or so and revisit.

Thanks, for understanding. You know that a ST GTG is a high priority for me but there are 2 of us in this thing together--just like real life.

I just want to say that we could make those dates in Paso. I don't think we would go farther south - we will have just spent a week in Colo. Springs.

I hope something can be worked out, I would love to see you again Jan. W.

Give me a couple more weeks to get the end of school sorted out.
I would love to see you, too, Wendy!

Well, Saturday is out for us. We really need to focus on our SLO friends.

If anyone is near Lake Tahoe, from July 19--23 PLEASE let me know. I think that will be our only free time.

I am sad but, vacations with hubands/family/friends are often full of compromise.

Hi Jan, sorry we won't be able to see you, but wishing you and yours a great time out here on the west coast. The weather should be fabulous and your time full of fun and friends - just not STers. Travel safe. W

Yes, jan, have a fabulous vacation, only wish we would be by Lake Tahoe on those dates.

Believe me, I truly understand the compromise vacation - we are having one during wedding week, on a daily basis Cool. Have fun with your family and old friends.
