It has occurred to me that perhaps there are a few of us that may have the interst and availability to meetup for a casual weekday lunch.

March in Toronto can be sooo dreary, it would be a great time to get-together and share travel plans.

Good idea?

~Nancy

Sounds like a great plan if I can work it into my schedule at work. I'll be out of the country from March 16 - 27. My office is located at University and Dundas so somewhere on the subway line would be best for me.

And since I have re-retired, my options are all open!

I would love to join you for my first ever ST GTG. I'm in the Yonge-Bloor area.

Hi all,

I haven't participated in this discussion because the "mid-week" part counts me out, but I'll be in Toronto from Saturday to Monday, March 10-12. I'll be at the Sheraton downtown.

I will be around on the weekend of March 10th if there is any interest in a little GTG with Doug, in addition to, not necessarily instead of a weekday lunch.

March 12th for lunch sounds good.

Edited to add: Oops. I have a meeting every Monday at 1:30, so not the best day for me.

I am going to do my best to get out of that meeting and join everyone on the 12th.

Any ideas for location?

Not the best option for me, but I'll do my best to attend.

The Toronto GTG is on for:

Monday, March 12th
Time: Noon
Location: Spring Rolls, 639 Yonge St (south of Bloor)

If anyone else will be in town that day, sign up here. I will wait till Friday to make the reservation.

Doru, I hope you can make it.

NB: Not sure if it's still there, but they have a small takeout store south of the restaurant. I once sat in the restaurant waiting for my nephew, who sat in the takeout store waiting for me. Just thought I'd mention that to avoid a similar mishap.

Hi all,

I will likely be out of touch from Friday morning on.

There will be 3 of us at Spring Rolls on Monday for lunch - my wife & I and our daughter who has travelled to Nicaragua, Australia, New Zealand and India.

Thanks for the update Doug. I will be calling tomorrow to make the reservation. It will be for noon, and I will put it under my name.

Looking forward to meeting you and your family and everyone else.

Thanks for making the reservation Marg. I may just have to take the afternoon off of work to do some shopping along the Bloor corridor! Happy

They have Slitti chocolate at Pusateri's Jerry. I thought Pocket Coffee was good until I tasted the Slitti Caffe Nero Big Grin

Which one Marg - the downtown or the Avenue road one? I sense a field trip in the offing!

Or a chocolate tasting?

I picked mine up at the Bay/Yorkville store yesterday on my way back to the office after a dentist appointment. I guess it's the adult version of getting a lollipop at the doctor's office.

Correction re: the address. It's 693 Yonge, not 639.
Doru, thanks for noticing this. I must be getting dyslexic!
