I know that GTG's are supposed to be on the other part of the site but I've been asked to post by AOLers. So I'm begging Pauline's indulgence in posting here.
I also know that lots of you are old AOLers (including Pauline)who have moved on. This could be old home week.
The AOL Italy board is having a meet and greet in Rome on April 4th. Just like the group here we are axe murderers and kidney stealers all (ROFLMAO).
If anybody would like to join us from Slowtrav we will be meeting at Pepys in Piazza Barberini 7 pm. I'll be the lady in the wheelchair. We aren't eating at Pepys!! We will be leaving from there (after a couple of glasses of prosecco) with Sandro of www.romalimo.com picking the place. Nothing like a native Roman to know the best places.
We may be having a second M&G later in the month sometime between April 8-12 with Sir John Males from the AOL England board.
If you are interested in attending either of them let me know by e mail (bonzersmom@aol.com) or post here.

Mary, I've moved this GTG announcement to the Slow Travel Talk GTG forum, but have linked it to the Italy board so more people may see it. I also edited the title to add the date and place.

Mary, greetings from an old AOLer. I don't get to Rome until April 29th, so I will miss your GTG. Will you do me a very big favor, and give Sandro a hello and hug from me?

Honey I'll take any excuse I can get to hug that stud muffin.
Mary, I'd love to meet you and some others. I am supposed to have dinner with some California friends on the 4th since that's the only night they're in Rome before flying home. But maybe I'll see if they want to come with me. If that doesn't work, let me know where you are meeting earlier with the people heading to Holland and maybe I can make that one.

Please feel free to bring your friends along. We always have a blast at these things. I've been to a couple where I dragged non-aolers (last one was in Sedona) and they had such fun they signed up for aol!! Tell them its a chance to eat at a restaurant picked by a real roman for its authenticity.

Check the website. And Sandro is the least cute one!! His brother Massimo? First time I met him the tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth, then rolled out and hit the floor.
