Hi! I'll be visiting mom May 21-30th and if anyone wants to meet for lunch, drinks, dinner, shopping at SteinMart..... let me know! We may head up to the Valley one day but I tend not to make any definite plans while I'm home. She usually has a list a mile long of things for me to do (usually requiring me to climb up into the attic, yuck).
One of my fave places is Cedar Creek Inn in San Juan Cap. But, that's merely a suggestion.
After Savannah I'll be going through ST withdrawal so meeting up with a few folks would be great.
I might be able to squeeze in a lunch the beginning of your stay. We leave for Italy on May 31st so it will be crunch time for me. I also like the Cedar Creek. Let me know what you come up with.

Thank you for all the replies! I'm sure we'll all come up with a day or evening to meet. The only day I probably couldn't GTG is Sat. the 24th. I'm sure we'll work something out the closer it gets. I'll keep checking this thread and keep you guys posted!
Topping this thread. I'm back from Savannah and "sho nuff", I'm going through ST withdrawl, so planning a mini GTG is just what the doctor ordered (well that and keeping my foot iced and elevated) Keep Sunday, May 25th in mind okay? You're not the only one with ST withdrawal , and as much as we would not find it hard to take the drive south, I just looked at the calendar and realized it's Memorial Day weekend. I think one of our northern CA children has announced she is coming home for the weekend. So, at the moment, darn.
Also not good for me. My daughter and family will be visiting. Is there another day perhaps a week day before the weekend that would work? The following Saturday we leave for Italy.

I could do another day no problem. I thought Sunday would be good as it was a weekend day, not realizing it was Memorial Day. (Marcia had mentioned in previous thread that a weekend day would be best for her). No worries, I arrive Wed. the 21st, so any day other than the 24th, is fine. I fly out Friday the 30th.
Mindy, definite interest here. I'll watch for the date. Withdrawal? yes! I see you posted all your pictures since you are chair bound. I have been trying to upload to YouTube Ginger's performance but so far it hasn't been working. I think because it is such a large file.
I think we could still get down for dinner on a week night (not Thursdays because we are taking an Italian class!), if maybe we could meet halfway between LA & San Clemente. If that's not doable, I totally understand and we will GTG another time.
I wish I could meet up with you when you're in California! I'd try to make it to San Clemente, but friends and I have already rented a house in Cambria for the long Memorial Day weekend. If you and your mom feel like a road trip, come visit!

Hi! I'm thinking that meeting for lunch might be the way to go. How about lunch either Thursday May 22, or the following week, Tuesday, Wed. OR Thursday. (27, 28 or 29th). Even if it's just a few of us, we can have a lot of fun. My mom is fun and is anxious to meet some of my Slow Travel friends!
