Judy (our Diva) will be teaching a class at Ramekins Cooking School March 23-26.
I would like to have another GTG at my home in Sonoma on Sat. March 25th, after Judy teaches her class.
Last year, several Slowtalk regulars took her class then we had a very nice gathering at my house.

My husband (Bill) and I would love to join you. We are trying to decide which of Judy's classes to take - but in any event, would love to join the party.

Diva's Thursday night class is sold out. But there is still room on Friday and Saturday evening.
I'd like to have a GTG on Sat. night, so if any slowtravelers will be taking the Sat. class, come and join us!

Take a look here for a schedule.

Gloria, Sounds terrific. My sister, brother-in-law (the cook) and I have signed up for her Friday night class (sister bought it for husband for a Christmans gift) and will stay with my parents in Rohnert Park on Friday night. We would be thrilled to come to you house on Saturday. You might remember me. We meet in SF last December 26th at the GTG. See you then. Please let me know what we can bring.

Judie,
Of course I remember you. We, unfortunately, didn't have time to talk. We will at this next GTG.
Looking forward to seeing you again and meeting your sister and BIL.

Hi Palma,

I'll be so glad to meet you! I'd like to have a GTG at my house on Sat. evening. Will you still be in Sonoma?
Some friends of mine that met Judy in Florence will also be taking her class on Friday night. The Thursday and Saturday classes are sold out!

Yes, Gloria, I will definitely be in Sonoma for the weekend. I haven't figured out flights yet, or even who is coming. I reserved 2 spots in the class, and my friend, Jan, who traveled to Italy with us on the last trip might come, if not, my husband, Brad will be there. Let me know what I can do to help. Now I'm thinking I'll need to pack my Italy scrapbook!
Thanks. I would love to meet some Slowtravelers!

Palma,
Looking forward to meeting you!

Steph,
We had some water in the garage, a couple of inches, but no real damage. The pool overflowed onto the yard. There was lots of debris from the surrounding trees into the yard. Highway 12 and Agua Caliente Rd. had a small flood. We were lucky. Our friends live in Kenwood, next door to Landmark Winery. They woke up to 5 ft. of water in their basement on New Years Day. The creek behind their house overflowed. They are still pumping the water out. Other friends had no power for 48 hrs. Napa had lots of damage. It was a pretty bad storm, and it's still raining!

I hope you'll be able to come for another visit sometime. But wait for better weather.

Gloria, glad to hear you did not have much damage. It does not take much for the pool to overflow....just from the one rain we had on Monday, our pool is topping over.

Will definately wait for better weather!

This is what happens when you have a baby! Classes fill before you even realize they've been scheduled! We really enjoyed this GTG last year so I'm hoping we'll figure out a way to come. Our little Ruby is three months old. I think I was actually pregnant at the GTG last year but didn't know it (!)

Hope to see you all,
Marcy

Marcy!
I have actually thought about you recently, wondering if you had seen the gtg info! I'm so glad you did.
Congratulations! Ruby is a beautiful name for (I'm sure) a beautiful baby girl.
I hope that you and hubby will be able to make it up for the GTG. We had such a good time last year. I will post again with more info.
Good to see you back on the board!

I don't know if you read my thread about my
passport problem Well, apparently the problem can't be solved unless I apply for a visa. The process is quite long here in Madrid and I don't feel comfortable booking the flight, the house and the classes before I actually have my visa...
Yvette sent me a list of the still available classes to assist and they are just about 10.... I would not be able to "spend" my credits earned by assisting as I have to book the classes I want to attend as a student now and pay for them and only gain my cradits in march. Moreover the available classes were already quite few on Jan 25th and probably will be less when I'm able to fix them....
This drives me crazy!
I've been planning and planning, I had great advice from you, we had planned the GTG and I can't go because of a stupid stupid burocratic problem....

Giulia,
I'm sorry to read about your visa problem. But at least you didn't have everything booked and THEN found out you needed a visa!

Don't worry, we'll just plan another GTG for when you come to town. Wink

Marcy!
I've been wondering where you were! Congratulations to you and your husband on the new addition to the family. Ruby is an adorable name - I hope to see you again soon, and see a picture of little Ruby.
