Earline....that poem confirms it... you have to write us a song for a GTG! Joanna's Dancing Man

Linda, yes – I love your plan,
You seem like the perfect hostess.
Wine and cheese is such a breeze,
The wine’s what I like mostest!

Since Brentwood is so very near to Nashville – Music City!
To not write a song for our GTG would altogether be a pity.
But music’s not my forte,
Words have always been my mainstay.

I’ll sure try my darndest,
Tho’ I’m in this blasted harness
Of volunteering to do too many things!
When my Lions brochure is finished
And my responsibilites diminished,
I’ll have a glass of wine and do hand springs!
Maybe not in that order
Even ‘tho I oughta
Do my best and just let things fall where they will and look forward to the GTG!

(I wonder what pentameter that last line would be categorized as? Happy)

Good Morning Everyone! Big Grin

I am trying to get a final count of who will be at the Nashville GTG on October 21st so that Linda can have a better idea of how much food/vino etc we will need to prepare.

When you have a moment, could you please let me know if you are definately going to be able to come to Nashville? I have also sent a PM to out to those of you who had expressed an interest in attending earlier.

Thanks all and have a great day! Looking forward to seeing you soon. Joanna's Dancing Man

I am still looking for airfare. I will look up until the last possible minute, in hopes of scoring something I can live with in both $$$ and time.

If you would like, PM me your airfare budget and timeframe and I will let you know if I come across any deals. Can't guarantee I will, but you never know with flights...

Hey guys, sorry that I've been soo long getting back. This is bidget time for me and between that and a heavy travel schedule ,I've had no time to pause and even think about anything but business.
Judy and I will most likely come and the couple we often travel with may as well. If you can give me until Thursday,I should be able to give you a firm answer. Thanks.

Linda,

Thank you for your generous offer. We would really appreciate it, however, if you find that you are pressed for time, we can certainly take a taxi or shuttle to our hotel. We were thinking about maybe going to the zoo Saturday morning. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I have just booked a flight to Boston...and now realize it is the same weekend as our GTG. Complain
I am visiting my sister, so excited about that. But- I am so disapointed that I won't be able to make it to Nashville. I had planned to make the trip from Birmingham and was looking forward to meeting everyone.
I will be watching for all the details...I travel to Italy vicariously all the time. Now I will have to attend the GTG the same way. Frown

Sandi- Sorry you won't be able to make it. Hopefully next time!

Jim- Sorry you won't be able to join us this time as well.

I have a somewhat final count of people attending the GTG that I will post later today along with other GTG "facts" that people might like to know. I will start a new thread for this subject. Directions will be going out soon to everyone as well.

Looking forward to next weekend! Joanna's Dancing Man

Ginger,
The temps should be in the 70's during the day and the 50's at night. I suggest you check weather.com before you leave as weather changes very rapidly here.
We will see you at the airport Friday night!

Yesterday we met Tina (from Tennessee) and she and Jim are excited about meeting everyone. I knew that kaydee and family would be there, but today I took a look at the thread and discovered that we already know several of the people who'll be there! (Kathy, Charley, and Kelly Wood, Leslie, Brent and Riley Erickson
The McMahan's, and now Tina and Jim!)

Sadly we won't be in the states until Nov 1st, so please, post pictures and let us know how it went! (and food details too!)
