I've noticed a number of Slow Trav members from the Austin area (as well as other areas of Texas)who are regulars on the Italy board. Would anyone be interested in an Austin Slow Trav Get Together in the fall—say some time in late September, or thereabouts? My wife and I would be willing to host it, if there's enough interest.

Just discovered this Forum (having stayed exclusively on the Italy message board before)and was excited to see your post about an Austin get-together, Chris. That would be a lot of fun. Count our family in! We know your wife, by the way.

Bump... I will be in Austin this weekend for work, but it would be cool to meet up for a drink if anyone is around.

The mention of Austin remindes me of Sally Watkins. You guys should try to get in touch with her and invite her to participate.
