I am just reporting in the morning after our GTG at Mas Pomona. It's a gorgeous day today-- blue skies, sunshine! And we had a wonderful time last night. There were 16 of us at the GTG... meeting first for aperitifs at David (charles w) and Marianne's beautiful place and then onto the Auberge du Cheval Blanc. They opened the restaurant just for us, and we had a delicious five course meal. (We'll post details later!)
We finished dinner at said goodnight at 11:30 pm. A great evening of friends and food. We loved being part of it.
Several of us took photos, so I'm sure they will be posted soon...
Now that my brain is starting (??) to clear after arriving back from our trip, I just had to write and say what a great time we had at our GTG. It was so wonderful to meet everyone and so gracious for David & Marianne to open their beautiful home to us. I'm sure it was a huge undertaking to plan our dinner out and it was so appreciated by all. What a wonderful restaurant and meal (and wine, dessert, conversation, etc) and I hope to meet up again with everyone at some point. We miss it there so much already!! Janice & Gus
We had a great time at the GTG too. It was great associating a face with everyones online name. You may view the food (and other) photos on my website. We are safely home and planning our next trip.
The Final Score: Tony 21; baggage handlers 0.

Steve and I are finally home - 6 weeks was a long time. Everything was great, including our return from Provence with a major detour through Assisi and Austria. Really, it all exceeded even our lofty expectations. Yes the GTG in Cheval Blanc was good fun. It's so great to connect with people who are as interested in travel as we are. What a wonderful group. Here are a couple of photos - not real great!

Thanks, Doru! I have a few more photos too, but they're not great! Nonetheless, I'd like to add these to the gallery you mentioned, but wasn't sure how. If you send me your e-mail address, through PM, then I'll happily send them to you.
Steve and I really enjoyed meeting you two. You obviously have such zest and enthusiasm for travel and for life! Linda

I just sent you an email, Tony. I'll take care of the photos and advise when posted in the GTG gallery.
You and I will have to put our camera flashes on steroids...

Doru, thanks for the posting help. Provence '06 was my familiarization tour with a new camera. Again, apologies for the lighting. Still, the food looks soooooooo good. It was a fun time with great people. A votre santé.

Thanks, Doru, for adding my photos to the gallery.
Tony, re: my lighting on those dining photos- It's all Adobe photoshop hocus pocus. The photos were taken without a flash and were really dark, but without a flash they had a nice rich look, and an orangish glow that I like. So I used an adjustment called "equalize" to brighten them up, then adjust brightness and contrast to make them look right. Et Voila! LJ
