http://chiarodilunas2.blogspot.com/Chris - I just made a sweet onion pie from the Lady & Son's Cookbook. See photo on my blog - link above. Recipe: Deep dish 9" pie crust 3c.sliced Vidalia onion (sweet) 3 tbs. butter 1/2 c. milk 1&1/2c. sour cream 1 tsp. salt 2 eggs, beat 3 tbs. flour crumbled bacon Oven 325 Saute onion in butter, spoon into crust Mix milk, sour cream, eggs, flour & salt Pour over onion, top with crumbled bacon Bake 30mins.......looks and tastes like a quiche. Next time: I'd use "light" ingredients, as I found it very rich.

or chevre. Yum! I remember reading somewhere that carmelized onions freeze well. I think maybe I'll carmelize a BIG bunch and see how it works. And thanks, chiaro, that pie sounds lovely too! Didn't you buy onions while you were there, Marta?
