Our family has hosted Thanksgiving Dinner for my husband's family for almost 20 years. The main menu is set in stone (pretty much) but we always try to offer new and different appetizers. This year we are only having 12 guests and so my husband asked whether we could serve grilled lobster as an appetizer (very early American!).

We have grilled lobsters before, but I'm wondering whether anyone has suggestions for serving them as an appetizer. We typically gather around our kitchen island for picking before the meal. I'm trying to figure out presentation, how to chunk it bite-sized but leave in the shells (?), as well as a way that guests can eat lobster (dripping with herb butter) without making too big of a mess.

Suggestions?
