We're just back and I promise to write a review of Mondo X near Cetona but I'm finishing my journal and would love some help with translation. We made some notes but there are a few items missing.

The five of us had dinner there on our friend Bill's birthday and it was absolutely exquisite!

Here are the items I can't interpret. The menu is hand lettered so I may misspell some items because of the stylized calligraphy.

Timbellino di ortiche con crema di peperoni

Crema di cipolle in tortella

Ravioli alle erbe di campo al leggero burro d'aglio

It was a nine course dinner, complete with a birthday cake crowned with golden spun sugar!

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I have parts of it but I don't trust myself to answer. Can't wait to hear about the meal.

Also need to check how far this is from where we're staying - could be a possible birthday dinner for our friend!

In for a penny,
Crema di cipolle in tortella
Onion tart?
Ravioli alle erbe di campo al leggero burro d'aglio
Ravioli with wild herbs and "something" with garlic butter?

I think this is a small timbale of nettles with a bell pepper cream or puree

Crema di cipolle in tortella

onion tart in a cream base

Ravioli alle erbe di campo al leggero burro d'aglio

Country herb ravioli in a slow cooked garlic butter

How was the meal? I have heard that the atmosphere is unbelievable but that the food is uneven or not worth the money from some, wonderful food from others.

Timbellino di ortiche con crema di peperoni

Nettle tart with creamy pepper (as in sweet pepper not hot) sauce

Crema di cipolle in tortella

creamed onion omlette situation (not sure if this is right but thats what it sounds like it could be)

Ravioli alle erbe di campo al leggero burro d'aglio

Wild greens (we could just say weeds but it doesn't sound so attractive even if thats what it is!) stuffed ravioli with a light garlic butter sauce (ha! "Light" butter sauce??)
