I've just finished to read this great article on the Time about the top 25 blogs and surprisingly there is no food blog.
May be I should not be surprised that politics, economics and electronic gadgets (pre)occupy more people.
Anyway, as I just realized I better get updated wih the world, besides our own Diva and Judith, which one is your favorite really really good food blog?
She tackles quite complicated things with a sense of humor and feeds them to her neighbors as testers. While I don't usually publish complicated recipes because my focus is different, I try to keep a sense of humor and I do feed my neighbors, so I feel a kinship with this Washington, DC gal.
I sort of got over Pim after the 10th 3 star restaurant review. Pioneer woman might have been interesting, but I am on dialup and she would have to show Marlboro man in the nude to make it worth the slow loading time.. I once gave up after 30 minutes hadn't loaded one recipe.
Letizia, I was shocked to see an article in the most recent Sale e Pepe magazine named "Rubate dei Blog" in which they made and published recipes from cooking blogs and gave no credit or PR to the bloggers they'd stolen from.
I love David a bunch. Rubber Slippers in Italy is not all cookery, but a lot. Most of the others come and go.
I read a lot of food blogs, but find that I most often get inspired from the recipes on Tigers and Strawberries. I've learned a tremendous amount about Indian and Asian cooking and technique from her, and the recipes always turn out wonderfully.
Amy, The Tigers and Strawberries blog is interesting -- thanks for posting the link. I think her current series on properly storing food and using leftovers and making stock to reduce wasting food is fantastic. It's in response to recent news article about how we in the US waste half of our food.
With the rising cost of food, everyone should read these articles and make use of the great info. We've always been very careful about not wasting and I got several great tips for this blog.
I also applaud her comments about making stock. I think stock is magic: you get something great from bones, shells, etc. that most people throw away. Homemade stock makes a recipe so much better! Sharon
I absolutely love Comida De Mama. Comi (aka Elena), her husband Montag (Marco) and their daughter MartaTita (or MartaChan) have lived in Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, and now they are in Boston, before (likely but not for sure) moving back to Italy.
I have a few (ok, a LOT) in my reader. I tend to be taken by the photography as well -- so from that stand point, I have a disproportionate number of Japanese bloggers such as Kuidaore, Nordljus and shewhoeats, none of whom post with any regularity. But my fav latest and, I predict, soon to be lauded is Fanny at foodbeam. She is French writing in English, taking fabulous photos and she is young -- 22! When I went to get the website for this I see that her current post is about puff pastry. Puff pastry people. She is 22. And look at those photos she takes. Did I say she is young? Go and enjoy.
Dear all I am so impressed! I have been away for a couple of days and I find enough information to last me a year! Thank you all so much, what's going to happen of my diet??????
Judith, I just bought that issue of Sale e Pepe for the very reason of the blog's recipes. Among the cheapes, it is a quite boring magazine with extremely few really useful recipes. The bloggers were listed though, each in a little box beside the recipes.

Thanks for posting this Amy! I don't usually read food blogs but this one looks very interesting! And I agree with Sharon, her posts on storing and reusing are great.
Letizia, I saw one name next to one recipe, but no addresses at all. Don't you think they ought to include the www if they were going to use the work?
Perhaps you should tell me which cookery magazines are good, because I thought Sale e Pepe was respectable for not using a bunch of mixes and not having everything quick and easy. If I had 3 kids and a full time job I'd probably be looking for that.
I can't wait to check these out -- most of them I didn't know about. Do you know about the food blog search engine? Love it for finding recipes. http://foodblogsearch.com/

Ciao Judith sorry it takes a while, but season has started and time has decreased as usual!
Sadly I am not too fond of any Italian cooking magazine, but for everyday recipes, Cucina moderna has some acceptable recipes.
I a sure you already know this, but if you have any friends in UK, get them to send you the Waitrose food Illustrated, that's a nice food magazine. Of course it has lots of adv. for the products they sell but still the recipes are well thought and well explained.
